Terminations for Financial Irregularities

NFOPP Regulation has the power to terminate membership of any divisions of NFOPP if a member is deemed to have failed to manage their personal and professional finances appropriately. Therefore membership may be terminated on the basis of a real risk of insolvency or actual insolvency, or if NFOPP receives claims from consumers under its Client Money Protection Scheme. Any termination of membership for these reasons will be published if the termination occurred from the beginning of 2011 onwards. Some property firms are structured as franchises which means that any termination solely relates to the specific franchise. In these circumstances the termination has no relevance to other franchises within the same group, even if they trade using the same name.
