Independent Redress Scheme

We require that all companies who deal in lettings & property management and/or commercial & business transfer belong to an independent redress scheme. This applies to all branches doing such work. It is, of course, a legal requirement for all residential property sales branches to be registered with an independent redress scheme. The following are accepted:

The Ombudsman Services: Property (OS:P) scheme you can contact the OS:P on 01925 530 270 or by visiting the website www.os-property.org

NAVA Code of Practice and Independent Redress for Chattels Auctioneers

As of 31 December 2011, it will be a requirement of NAVA membership for all Principal, Partners and Directors to ensure that their company is also a member of The Property Ombudsman Scheme (TPOS) or Ombudsman Services : Property (OS:P).Those organisations joining TPOS as a result of this requirement will be required to agree to the Valuers and Auctioneers General Membership Obligations, which can be found here
